In collaboration with local Columbus distillery, Watershed, we're celebrating Pasta Month with a new home chef series recipe that plays off the popular pasta water martini: Martini Al Dente.

What you'll need:

-1.5oz Basil infused Watershed Vodka

-1oz Blanc Vermouth

-0.75oz Pasta Water

To infuse your own vodka, you'll need one liter of Watershed Vodka and one small handful of basil leaves. In a container, pour the contents of an entire liter of vodka. Take a handful of basil leaves lightly rip in half to open the oils and fragrance and drop into the container. Stir the leaves to get them soaked and put a lid on the container. Let sit at room temperature for 24 hours. After 24 hours, taste to make sure flavor is fully incorporated. Adjust by letting sit longer or add more leaves to increase the basil flavor. 

To build the cocktail:

In a mixing glass add your basil infused vodka, vermouth, and pasta water. Add ice and stir. Strain into a coupe or martini glass. Garnish with basil leaf or tomato. Enjoy!
